Failed Appointments & Late Cancellations

  • If you do not give adequate notice to cancel an appointment or fail to attend an appointment, other patients are deprived from the care that could have been available to them. 
  • We require a minimum of 24 hours notice should you need to cancel an appointment. If a cancellation is made within the same treatment session as the patient is due this will be deemed as a fail to attend.
  • Your dentist can terminate your treatment if you miss your appointment without letting the dental surgery know. You may then need to pay again for a new course of treatment.
  • We reserve the right to charge for every 15 minutes of unfilled appointment time, calcuated at £1.00 per minute.  (Private patients only)
  • If you continue to miss appointments we reserve the right to ask you to find another dental surgery. Please note that staff are not there to be bullied with persistent or unrealistic demands regarding this policy.  The policy is set by the practice and not the staff, therefore abuse and harrasement will not be tolerated.

Cleggs Lane Dental Practice  reserves the right to request patients who repeatedly cancel appointments at short notice, fail to attend, arrive late or are rude/abusive to find another service provider.
